Dr. Amit Agarwal
Dr. Amit Agarwal is the Director of Research & Development at Natural Remedies Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore. He obtained his master’s degree in Pharmacology (Plant Medicines Option) from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK. He holds a Ph.D in Pharmacology from Bangalore University. He has over 18 years of experience in research on natural products. He has obtained seven Indian patents and eight International patents, till date. He has published over 40 research papers, in various peer reviewed, national and international journals. He is also the editor of the “Journal of Natural Remedies” which is a bi-annual journal, dedicated to medicinal plant research. He is a member of many Governmental Expert Committees-IP’s Herbal Committee, DCG (I)’s Phytopharmaceuticals Committee, National Medicinal Plants Board and others.
Mrs Vijaya Anantha Narayana
Mrs. Vijaya Ananthanarayana is a commerce graduate who served as a Senior Officer, with L.I.C Of India in Delhi and Bangalore for over 30 years. She took Voluntary retirement recently and has since been the source of inspiration to start the Trust, as she wishes to devote time constructively contributing to the Society. Endowed with organizing ability and resourcefulness, she brings administrative skills to the Trust.
Mr. R Lakshmikeshav
Mr. R Lakshmikeshav is a Civil Engineer of standing. He is a successful Structural Engineer and Consultant, and runs his own business. A self made man, he takes up challenging assignments in designing, planning and execution of projects including project management. His inputs have been responsible for the recent construction of a temple built in the shape of a “Tamburi/Tanpura” with the intricate structural designs done by him. He has built many homes and schools.
Dr. Anantha Narayana, a recipient of the Eminent Pharmacist award 2007, of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association, is an M.Pharm from Saugar University (MP), PhD from Delhi University. He taught pharmacy for 10 years, worked at Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd for over 10 years. He later joined Dabur Research Foundation (DRF) & rose to become its Director, a premier research organization which he built and nurtured for over 12 years. He is credited for the phenomenal growth of Dabur led a team of researchers to develop for launch anti-cancer drugs, Ayurvedic drugs, cosmetics, food products, honey and a large number of herbal products built with science and technology. He is credited at Dabur and later at HUL, for demonstration of the application of “Reverse Pharmacology” approach. He is a member of Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission’s Scientific Committee and is Chairman of its Herbs and Herbal Products Committee. He has served on Ayurvedic pharmacopoeia Committee and ASU DTAB & as a Convener of Herbal Cosmetics Committee of BIS, as Convener of a subgroup of Dr. Mashelkar Committee. He is an active member Managing Committee of Ayurvedic Drug Manufacturer’s Association (ADMA). He has served on IPA, and was Secretary of IPCA, and is very active in the professional field, and is Managing Trustee of Delhi Pharmaceutical Trust. He is a Co-author of four books and inventor of more than 20 patents. He is an alumnus of Govt College of Pharmacy, Bangalore having been a Gold Medalist in B Pharm, 1971
